Default Commission Request - Chinese Zodiacs/Anthro's

Gearing up to write a story and I've got a rough list of characters lined up. The dog and the rat have already been completed (sorta). So I'll be looking to commission one or two of the remaining 11. Depending on people's interests I may be looking to request the rest of them to be drawn.

Prefer someone comfortable drawing anthro's. I'll give a basic description to each one and let you decide which you're interested in. At that point I'll try to provide more information.

Rooster - M, Mid 40's, Thin, Monk, basic gloves/gauntlets, Rhode Island Red
[Image1- Like the overall look, the prayer beads in particular [Image2- It's a rooster, most important things to note are the face and head as well as the coloring. I will need to provide better picture of the feet. [Image3- Hanya depicts the overall build of the character. His fighting style centers around the fists. Please do not include the striped arms in the costume of the character.

Dragon - M, Elder, Thin, Book/Wand , Wizard, Eastern type, long stashed By Candid-Silence
[Image1- Long whiskers = wise [Image2- Every facet of this costume seems inscribed with magical runes and just screams power [Image3- Please disregard the horns in this. Was used to show "dragon whiskers" and a general shaping to a dragon's head.

Bunny - F, Mid 20's, Plump/Busty, Cleric/Mace, Brown speckled
Holy matron summoning forth divinity spells capable of both healing and smiting. Helpful and caring demeanor but fully able to smash a few skulls should those under her care come to be threatened. Beauty and death all in one.
[Image1- Simple textures and stitching [Image2-Paladin type female wielding a uniquely simple designed mace [Image3- Larger figured gal with exaggerated bust and hips [Image4- Ignoring coloring this was used to show a rabbits ears flopped down.

Dog/Frost Wolf - M, Early 20's, Athletic, Druid
Summons forth plants to do his bidding. Able to shapeshift into not all creatures but only that of his lineage, the frost wolf. Has three forms: were-Beast, human-like with few wolven traits, and full wolf.
[Image1-5 are sketches of this character from gaiaonline. [Image6-Basic traveling attire excluding the gun. Numerous pockets and such for storage of spell mixtures and such [Image7- Druid robes excluding the dagger [Image8- A were-beast form, important to note the form of the hinged ankle here.

Ox - M, Mid 30's, Muscular, Oxen Centaur, Deep red/brown
Compared to Zhed would would appear much shorter but more heavily muscled. A short and stocky build. The front half of the lower body, very broad in the chest, narrowing to the hind. Top half of his shoulders and chest being broad as well. Lightly clothed, mostly leather straps and metal rings for his heavy equipment. No nose ring, this is a tool meant for controlling a bull so it would be self defeating. Mercenary partner to Horse.
[Image1- The hoof does not form a solid foot like a horse's [Image2- This image helps to show a bull with an exaggerated front and simple horns [Image3- A basic rendering of a centaur, torso on bull would be broader and more heavily muscled or otherwise stocky.

Rat - F, Teens, thin, Necromancer/Needles
Adept with poisons, a novice necromancer with growing ability. Uses needles coated in poisons to stun or kill. Knowing where to strike due to necrotic studies. Cold personality, a touch insane, but above all else, a survivor. by Perynne
[Image1- A simple spike easily thrown or gripped [Image2-I like the dark feel of this necromancer image, the sash around the waist. The piece done by Perynne can better reference her costume [Image3- The fingers and toes in this image do well to show off rodent like qualities.

Tiger - M, Late Teens, Athletic, Roguish/Wrist Spike
A tradesman, a thief, suave speaker. The type to always get into some sort of trouble and be able to escape or talk his way out of it. (most of the time)
[Image1- Wrist spike from Assassin's Creed, important to note the missing ring finger. When a closed first is made it triggers the spike which passes through where the finger used to be. [Image2- A rogue's attire, straps and belts concealing many weapons [Image3- A golden tiger has a coloring and ruffle around the face that suits a rogue quite nicely. Think mutton chops with this one.

Pig - M, Pre-teen, Chubby, Huntsmen, Sling/Rope/Hatchet
Tattered vest creme colored, tattered brown pants held up with rope, a satchel.
An explorer, a hunter, greedy hoarder. Always out exploring, trying to find some new adventure. Fighting great (what he would call great) foes and returning home for supper.
[Image1- Cute little spotted pig [Image2- a basic sling [Image3- a forged hand axe/hatchet [Image4- Puffy cheeks and a large belly, disregard the the formal attire. This piggy likes to rag on his clothes.

Monkey(Nainis) - M, Elder, Athletic, Monk, Simple wooden staff
[Image1- Too heavily muscled for a lightweight monk but this image does well to show a human looking monkey that is still very clearly a monkey.[Image2- The extended mouth and low brow in this image help to depict a monkey like appearance [Image3- Buddhist monk dressed in robes and basic straw hat [Image4- Facial hair surrounding the face helps to make the character appear more monkey like [Image5- apologize for image being sideways but this shows off staff combat

Snake
(Ata'Nauss)
- F, Late Teens, Tall/Slim - Modest/Underdeveloped, Caster, Golden
A performer, an illusionist, sometimes hiding behind a mask, sometimes hiding in plain sight under a human guise. An ever shifting personality, adapting to suit the situation. Uses telekinetics augmented by her crystalline pendant. First and only clutch of eggs were lost during the ritual birthing stage to denizens of the swamp (Race1 and Race2). SnakebyKenjii-chan By Morag
[Image1- Reptilian human shaped face [Image2- Right arm and leg are sleeveless in this costume. Could be adapted into more of a dress.[Image3- More human shaped reptilian faces. Mouths in these images are very narrow when compared to a reptiles. Would prefer them to be wider when drawn. [Image4- Image helps to show a thinner toned body. Bust needs to be smaller though.

Horse - F, Mid 20's, Muscular, Colored Paint, Gladiator, Armored sleeve, Flat tipped blade, Javelin pack
Loud spoken and never one to shy away from boasting heroic deeds. Mercenary partner to Bull. Lower legs are proportioned larger to offset the difference created from being bipedal as opposed to being a quadruped.
[Image1- Lightly armored except for the right arm. A very primal looking warrior [Image2- Mostly to show the way the armored sleeve is scale plated down the armor, please do not include the large fin on the shoulder. It serves to protect from being decapitated but I don't like the way it looks.[Image3- Here we have a female body builder that still has a full feminine bust. [Image4- A strong draft horse meant for labor as opposed to being rode. White caps on the feet and overall coloring are important to note here. By Morag

Cat - FF, Pre-Teens, Twins, Petite, Bardic, Pan Flute, Mandolin , wire whip
Acrobatic twins, playful, curious. Bardic coin filing their purses. Associated with a traveling merchant band/circus. By Nian By Namicat101
[Image1- Like the way the cats ears blend with the flow of the hair [Image2- Microfiber wires in use [Image3-4 basic intsruments [Image5 - Twin girls around the age of these characters.

Ram - M, Toned/Agile, Either dual Axe Pistols or Double barreled Rifle Axe.
-Calculating ranger/tracker or Engineer type class. Skilled at marksmanship, traps and explosives. Important point to note about the reference pictures is the feet. Feet to resemble that of the Mon-Goat as opposed to a more flat-footed human type. Mon-Goat is a little too beastly. The civilized look better suits this character. Fur coating the entire body rather than half skin half fur. Can be a little thicker around the shoulders and chest. Keep in mind he's built for stealth and speed.

A couple gourds hanging at his side off a satchel pouch. The pouch itself containing whatever useful items he might be carrying at the time. String, flint tools, ammo, etc. A Powder Horn attached to the satchel's strap. Some sort of metal on his thumbs and middle fingers(both hands). Snap of the fingers igniting fuses.

His weapon, a rifle axe, would be most like a colonial musket. A single shot(2 barrels stacked on top one another. So actually 2 shots.) weapon requiring a lengthy reload time after each shot. Front and back trigger firing top and bottom barrels. Axe portion coming into play after initial two shots are fired. Reload more oftenly occurring after a battle is fought rather spending a minute or two in the midst of battle doing so.
x -reference for feet, like a bull, they're cloven.
by Tommy's
[Image1- Broken atm [Image2- Shows the design on a pistol axe. Should be fairly easy to adapt this design into a overtop barreled musket. [Image3-4 Image three shows a goatman fully cover in fur with ramlike horns and image four shows feet and a slightly more elongated face.

If you're interested mail or post and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. Usually home afternoons.

*I may also be willing to take multiple artists on the same character.
*Pulled together some references from google. Please use the links for inspiration and not copy detail for detail. I just gathered attributes that I thought would look interesting.
*Details aren't set in stone atm so feel free to make suggestions.

Future focus-
Race1
Race2

I'll draw the rabbit for free, my love.
Pretty interested in the snake, too.

EDIT: I don't really count, though. He's my husband, so of course he gets free art from me. If anyone else is interested in these two, feel free to tell him so.

(First thing I thought of was Fruits Basket, fml)

This seems interesting, I'm not sure what art styles/types of commissions you're looking for, though. Do you have the characters' designs already, or will the commissions include creating and defining each of the designs?

I'm not seeking a specific style. Realistic, anime, no chibi. Full body color. Once you make a selection and are accepted I can provide more details and references. Was there any one in particular that interested you?

I'd love to do Monkey, Cat, perhabs the Rabbit or even the Ox aswell, got quite some idea's running, though I don't know if it really qualifies as Anthro. More figuring (except for the Ox) having them stand up straight and dressed up, not too much human in them. Is that a bit what you have in mind?
You can see my style in my thread here, see if you like it Sadly, I'm very busy at the moment and I have some requests lined up already, so it will be a while before I get to it. Let me know if you don't mind the wait and are interested

Ram is pretty much right up my alley, too, if (s)he will end up as some sort of satyr-like creature, come to think of it.

I may have some suggestions, but I'm still unsure on how well-defined your character designs are, and how much you're leaving up to the artist.

Thanks that'll be a big help. I plan to clean up and organize a bit using a format similar to Horse.

Thought of the best idea ever. I'm going to try and build a GW skill set around each character, starting with Isruh. She'll be a Paragon/Warrior type with skill points spent into Leadership, Swordsmanship, and Spear Mastery. It'll be goofy without Motv or Cmd but I'll make it somewhat viable. In any case it'll show more depth into her combat style.

Update 8-3-2011
Managed a skill bar but was unable to link to wiki for each image on the skill bar so the template code was provided. Drelias helped test the actual build vs a raging henchmen in our guild hall with successful results. Found it quite hard to develop a spear/sword build while avoiding spear skills with "spear" in the title. Wanted to avoid this as the character uses javelins not spears.

Paragon/Warrior, eh? what coincidence that that's the combo I've been playing for three years now Sounds cool, I'll keep it in mind.

Can I post progress here? if not, I'll edit it out again. But here's horse torso

XD it's looking great!

Shoulda seen my officer's reaction when I pinged that paragon build. It was amusing but actually tested to be mildly viable one on one against the Raging Henchman in Guild Hall.

I miss the days playing Rit main when Rit's were "sucky". Days before everyone started playing SoS Rit. Now you see em everywhere. I kinda view paragons that way still. Horrible if played wrong but awesome if you know what you're doing.

IH, it was mostly meant to show what kind of fighting style the character has - spear and sword. He didn't mean for it to be an HA- or GvG-worthy build...

@InfestedHydralisk - I know it's not awesome but I wanted to make something that best represented the character's personal combat style.

@Drelias Melaku - I did actually try to make it a worthy build. Maybe not HA or GvG but as viable as I could without using spear skills specifically using the word "spear" as she uses javelins.

@ Morag D - Yay background. Looking through your deviant stuff I actually haven't seen a whole lot of detailed background work. I'll be excited to see how it turns out.
